As we unravel 2026, we do so with renewed determination and a strong sense of shared purpose.
The postponement of the Joint 8th Pan-Commonwealth Veterinary Conference and 34th Caribbean Veterinary Medical Association Conference due to Hurricane Melissa reminded us that climate and environmental events directly affect our communities, livestock systems, and professional engagements across the Commonwealth.
Yet, the strength of our veterinary community was evident in the solidarity shown to Jamaica during recovery. In April 2026, we will gather not only for a conference but as a statement of resilience, collaboration, and leadership.
In 2026, CVA remains committed to:
- Strengthening One Health leadership
- Supporting sustainable livestock transformation
- Expanding animal welfare research collaborations
- Building capacity across member associations
Our ability to deliver on these priorities depends on the active support of our member countries. We encourage all associations to ensure their 2026 subscriptions are current so that CVA can continue delivering meaningful impact across the Commonwealth.
