Obituary Notice for Dr. A.A. Ramzee

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. A. A. Ramzee, a distinguished and dedicated figure in the veterinary community, who left us on May 23, 2023 in Lahore Pakistan. We have just come to know about this sad demise.

Dr. Ramzee played a great role in reviving the defunct Pakistan Veterinary Association during the late 1980’s. He was appointed as the CVA Councilor of Pakistan in 1988 and was an active member implementing various programmes of CVA in Pakistan and other member countries of the Asian region.

He actively participated in all the Asian regional conferences held in Bangalore (1991), Dhaka, (1995), Kandy (2000) as well as Pan Commonwealth Conferences in Bangalore (1998), Wellington (2003), Barbados (2007) and the last one in Accra in 2011.

He was appointed as the Regional Representative of the CVA Asian Region in 1995 and   hosted the 14th Asian Regional Meeting in Lahore, Pakistan in 2005.

He was also the founder member of the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations and took active role in its activities as the Editor of the FAVA Newsletter

He was a very vocal member of the CVA Executive with a great sense of humor actively participating in all discussions. A great human being.

He is survived by his wife a son and daughter.
